While there is nothing that can be done to change what has happened, having a trained, experienced therapist on the path of change and healing can be insightful, affirming and empowering. Life is always changing. We too, are always changing. Loss may happen from a death of someone we love; to a job that we had; or to something we valued but is no longer in our lives. Transitions and loss that appear overwhelming can become more manageable. Change can frustrate and intimidate us. Crisis can toss all we know into the air. Support may range from processing what has and maybe NEEDS to happened. Support is learning to trust ourselves, our decisions and to let the process happen on it’s own time frame. It is essential to establish effective ways of managing these life changes day to day and to explore and re-frame life values, experiences and goals. Every loss, every transition carries threads of similarities and yet, each relationship and situation meet us in a different place in our lives. I have been trained in EMDR. EMDR has proven to be an effective treatment for trauma. Individual sessions are offered primarily via zoom in the late afternoon/early evening. If in person is preferred, we can discuss how to arrange that.
